TRSA offers a wide variety of programs and services to its members designed to improve member
profitability. Among the services is the Freight and Logistics Program which is offered and
managed by AFS Logistics, Inc. of Shreveport, LA.
Primary Objectives:
- Provide Members with lower cost shipping solutions with Less than Truckload "LTL" carriers.
- Provide Members with alternate solutions for their transportation functions which will streamline and enhance existing operations while reducing expenditures.
Other services including Pre-Audit and Freight Bill Payment as well as many other solutions may be
found by selecting Transportation Services.
Core Carriers
Carriers who have been selected as TRSA Core Carriers offer coverage to different parts of the
United States. Some are regional carriers and others are long haul carriers.
All Core Carriers are:
- Offering Discounts off of a uniform rate base which will never change. The rate base is a 1999 level rate base.
- Using a uniform Rules Tariff.
- All on a level playing field.
Rate Quotes for the Core Carriers may only be obtained from this site because of the single
rate base. If you were to rate a shipment on the carriers site the shipment would be rated
off of the incorrect rate base therefore an incorrect quote would be given.
To rate a shipment you must first have your User ID which is TRSA and a Password which is
MEMBER. With this info you can rate a shipment on this site as you would any carrier site.

Carrier Selection
When obtaining a quote, you may choose a specific Core Carrier or leave as Lowest Available
Rate. By selecting Lowest Available Rate, the program will provide you a selection of applicable
carriers who offer service for your designated move. The quoted prices will be in Least Cost Order.
This quote will include the carriers fuel surcharge.

customer service number and a link to the carriers specific coverage area. Please use this link
as a guide for shipping or simply allow the rating program to select the appropriate carrier.

For Outbound shipments you may call the number listed by the carrier to arrange pickup.
For Inbound shipments please designate your choice of carrier on your Purchase Order with your
vendor to ensure they properly route the inbound move.
